What is My Mail Box and what does it do for me?

My Mail Box is a virtual mail box ONLY and not a personal pop3 a/c like Hotmail or Yahoo. We DO NOT OFFER FREE WEB MAIL SERVICE. All mail from Batchmates members will come directly to this mailbox and a notification will be emailed to your primary email id informing you of awaiting mails in your virtual Batchmates mailbox.

How do I login to My Mail Box?
  1. Login to Batchmates using your Email /Unique Id & Password.
  2. Go to your 'Home' page from the top panel.
  3. Click on the 'New mail' link to enter your virtual Batchmates.
  4. All existing and new mails will be displayed in the resulting page.
How do I reply to a message received from a friend at my Batchmates Mailbox?
  1. Login to Batchmates using your Email /Unique Id & Password.
  2. Go to your 'Home' page from the top panel.
  3. Click on the 'New mail' link to enter your virtual Batchmates.
  4. All existing and new mails will be displayed in the resulting page.
  5. Click on 'Reply' button in the right hand corner of each mail to reply to the mail.
  6. Click on the "Send" button to send the mail.
How do I delete a mail received at my Batchmates mailbox?


Option 1 - deleting single messages :
  1. Login to Batchmates using your Email /Unique Id & Password.
  2. Go to your 'Home' page from the top panel.
  3. Click on the 'New mail' link to enter your virtual Batchmates.
  4. All existing and new mails will be displayed in the resulting page.
  5. Tick the box alongside the message you wish to delete.
  6. Click on the "Delete" button at the bottom of the page.
Option 2 - deleting multiple messages :
  1. Login to Batchmates using your Email /Unique Id & Password.
  2. Go to your 'Home' page from the top panel.
  3. Click on the 'New mail' link to enter your virtual Batchmates.
  4. All existing and new mails will be displayed in the resulting page.
  5. Tick the box alongside the messages you wish to delete.
  6. Click on the "Delete" button at the bottom of the page.
Option 3 - deleting message after reading :
  1. Login to Batchmates using your Email /Unique Id & Password.
  2. Click on “My Mailbox” tab at the top navigation bar.
  3. All existing and new mails will be displayed in the resulting page.
  4. Click on the subject line of the mail you wish to read and then delete.
  5. Click on the 'Delete' button to remove the mail from your Batchmates Mailbox.
What is Delete and send a copy to me and how do I use it?
This option helps you to delete messages from your Batchmates Virtual Mail Box and have it sent to your primary email id.
  1. Login to Batchmates using your Email /Unique Id & Password.
  2. Click on “My Mailbox” tab at the top navigation bar.
  3. All existing and new mails will be displayed in the resulting page.
  4. Tick the box alongside the messages you wish to delete and send to your primary email id.
  5. Tick the box "Delete & send a copy to my registered email id".
  6. Click on the 'Delete' tab.
I’m unable to access "My Mailbox" – why?
The following could be some of the reasons for which your mailbox is not functioning properly:
  1. Please ensure to confirm your email id with which you initially registered. Or if you have changed your email id then please confirm your new mailing id, without which you will not be able to access your mailbox.
  2. To retrieve your confirmation key - Click on "Click here to receive Confirmation Key" in your Virtual Mailbox page itself.
  3. A confirmation key will be mailed to your registered email id.
  4. Upon complying with the instructions mentioned in this email - you will be able to access your mailbox.
Whilst surfing through I get logged out – why is this so and what should I do?
  1. If you are behind a firewall or on a proxy server and if the connection trips you will be logged out for which you will have to login again.
  2. If you are not behind a firewall or on a proxy server and you get logged out - Kindly refresh the screen by either clicking on the "REFRESH" button of your browser or press the Control+F5 keys together to refresh your screen.
How can I contact all members of my place at one go with a single email?
  1. Login to Batchmates.com using your email id and password.
  2. You land up in a page listing the schools/colleges and workplaces you have registered in.
  3. Click on the institute to view the members. By default the members from your batch are listed. You can however view all members or members from specific batches using the Batch dropdown above the list.
  4. Select the members you wish to send mail to using the checkbox beside the names and click on “Send Mail” button to send mail to selected people.
  5. Please note, you can send mail to a maximum of 5 people at a time in this method.
  6. However, if you add friends in your network, you can send mails to all of them. See the help for My Network section for detailed instructions.
I keep getting unwanted mails from some members. How can I block those?
  1. Login to Batchmates.com using your email id and password.
  2. Go to the sender’s profile, either by searching or clicking on the name from your mailbox.
  3. Click on the “Block Member” option below the person’s profile photo.
  4. You will not receive any mails/hi notes in Batchmates.com from the person unless you unblock the member again.
